About This Course

This module of the Wikimedia Core Curriculum introduces the Notability policy, the principles for determining whether a given topic belongs on Wikipedia. It includes examples and self-assessment activities that help understand the policy in action on English Wikipedia.

These modules were designed by the Community Development team at the Wikimedia Foundation with valuable input from Wikimedians. They're under constant iteration and we welcome any feedback at comdevteam@wikimedia.org

Requirements

The course assumes proficiency with grammatically correct written English, a general high school education, and regular access to the Internet. No other prior knowledge is required.
