About This Course
This module of the Wikimedia Core Curriculum describes traditional copyright, discusses its shortcomings, and introduces alternative licenses, and in particular the Creative Commons licenses, focusing on the free variants among them.
These modules were designed by the Community Development team at the Wikimedia Foundation with valuable input from Wikimedians. They're under constant iteration and we welcome any feedback at comdevteam@wikimedia.org
Requirements
The course assumes proficiency with grammatically correct written English, a general high school education, and regular access to the Internet. No other prior knowledge is required.
